The Upper West Side Streets Renaissance Campaign is a community-led effort to advocate for and win great walking spaces, safer streets, less traffic, a world-class bike network, and cleaner air in the neighborhood we call home. To join the coalition, add your ideas and input, or learn more about what we do, please contact lisa@uwssr.org or tila@uwssr.org.

We are residents, businesses, and advocates working together to bring the change we deserve to the neighborhood we love.

CB7 Committee to Support Riverside Park Cyclist Access

After a holiday hiatus without any further movement by Riverside Parks Management on the summarily installed "Cyclists Must Dismount" signs at 72nd and 67th Streets in Riverside Park, CB7's Parks and Environment Committee will discuss this issue again at their upcoming meeting on January 24, 7 pm, at 250 W 87th Street. Our sources tell us to expect a resolution disapproving the dismount zone and urging parks management to adopt a more sensible shared-use policy at 72nd Street, but we still need representation from you responsible cyclists out there to push them to do the right thing.
